Rita Weiss

Rita Weiss, President and Founder, works directly with corporate executives and leaders to improve business performance through leadership development. Rita is an expert at identifying key leadership competency gaps and developing programs that target the behavioral changes required to address those gaps. Rita often works with corporate executives to develop programs and services that complement and enhance existing in-house programs. A frequent contributor to learning and development publications, Rita is the author of CLS's Using 360 Feedback for Business Results^®, Coaching Skills for Leaders^®, and A Systems Model for Executive Coaching^®.

Prior to founding CLS, Rita held corporate leadership development positions at major companies including Bankers Trust Company and MCI Communications. With over 20 years of corporate leadership experience, Rita understands the demands and challenges of today's competitive business environment. Rita's training as an Executive Coach includes completion of a two-year Corporate Coach training program, certification to deliver 360 feedback and diagnostic assessments, and accreditation in the design and delivery of Leadership Assessment Centers.

Extending her corporate expertise to the academic environment, Rita has taught Masters level courses in Leadership and Teams as an Adjunct Professor at Manhattanville College. Rita holds a B.A. in Slavic Languages from SUNY Binghamton and an M.A. in Linguistics from Indiana University. A member of several professional associations, Rita is a Past President of the Westchester chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and is a member of the Connections Advisory Board of the Westchester County Association.
